Janet Robertson

In the early 19080's, Robertson served as chair of the Boulder CMC and helped found the Indian Peaks Working Group, now know as the the Indian Peaks Wilderness Alliance. She was chair of the Rocky Mountain National Park Associates board, which raises funds to benefit Rocky Mountain National park and is past chair of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Explorers Club. Robertson is the author of Magnificent Mountain Women: Adventures in the Colorado Rockies, Day Hikes on the Colorado Trail, Betsy Cowles Partridge:
Mountaineer and is one of three authors of a book about Rocky Mountain Rustic-Style architecture, due out June, 2004. She also contributed sections about the history of rock climbing, mountaineering and sport climbing to the International Encyclopedia of Women and Sports.
