Volunteer Needs

Mountain Festival 2004

Those of you who致e volunteered for our Mountain Festival in the past know how exciting it is for the CMC and the front range community as a whole. This year, our third, promises to be even more exciting and interesting with the addition of the Subhankar Banerjee Arctic National Wildlife Refuge exhibit (which runs for three months), as well as our member photo contest and exhibit, the Where the Mountains Meet the Sky landscape art show, a CMC Press Book Festival, lots of activities for children, speakers Jeff Lowe and Jordan Campbell, a Holiday Art market, the Student Art Show, a Film Festival and more!

As you might imagine, we値l need lots of help staffing all these wonderful events. We値l need ushers, room hosts, sales people, membership information people, and even an assistant to Mr. Banerjee during several of his events in Golden and Boulder. We値l need people weekdays, weekends and evenings. We値l need people from Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Colorado Springs and other places, all of whom are charming and helpful folks, of course. We値l need one-time volunteers, and we値l need those who can arrange their schedules to volunteer regularly.

This year we値l kick off the Art Show with our Gala September 9, and will wind up the Banerjee Exhibit January 9, giving us four months of great things happening. If you致e missed the Gala in years past, mark your calendars for an evening of enjoying art, music, food and wine. Then, please plan on helping out when you can for the upcoming events. All of us who have volunteered for Mountain Festival in the past have enjoyed the events we致e helped with, met amazing people, and been glad we were able to participate. I know a lot of you will be back this year and am looking forward to seeing you again.

As our Mountain Festival schedule firms up, I値l be posting volunteer needs on our web site, but I壇 appreciate hearing from you now so that I can get your name on a list to contact later. If you have friends who are not CMC members, I壇 love to hear from them, too. Please contact me at (303) 996-2764 or beckwj@cmc.org. Thanks!
