Conservation Department launches stewardship program

As you may know, last year the CMC Board merged the Trails and Conservation Departments and Committees in the state office in order to more effectively use the resources and expertise of both departments. A new activity called “Stewardship” incorporates all group trail maintenance and construction activities with other projects such as noxious weed pulls, removal or elimination of dumps, old fences and other undesirable objects.

A page in the summer activity schedule will bring together all group stewardship type activities in one schedule so that members will not have to search through each group activity to find stewardship activities.
