Where are all the climbing stories? A publication of a mountain climbing and hiking club should have some stories about climbing, mountains, and skiing. Right? But I was amazed when I examined the May/June issue of Trail & Timberline to find not one, not one article about climbing, hiking, mountains, or skiing. Hard to believe? Take a look. Our slick cover, color format, extensive publication is great. The editors do a fine job. It contains a lot of interesting information. But where are all the climbing stories? Don’t blame the editors. They need your input. With over 10,000 members and hundreds of hikers, climbers, and skiers (in season) out every weekend enjoying our mountains, someone should do some writing about their adventures. I would venture to say that a large share of T&T readers enjoy articles on climbing and mountains, So, you mountain lovers, get busy and tell the rest of us about that great climb you made, the eventful backpack you took, your best climb yet, what fun you had on the outing, your favorite mountain, an eventful rescue, or an exciting ski trip. I’m sure the editors will love you. —Bob Beverly, Editor’s note: people interested in writing for Trail & Timberline magazine are encouraged to visit the T&T website at www.cmc.org/cmc/tnt/.
