Willow Lake

Friday & Saturday - June 25 & 26 - Mount Adams

On Friday evening we hiked up to Willow Lake. The trail was 100% snow free. There is no camping next to the lake, so we camped just below. The hike up
to the summit of Mt. Adams was also snow free (you climb Adams on the south face). The views from the summit were spectacular. Several climbers were attempting Challenger Point and Kit Carson. The coulier up to Challenger was snow filled. We would reccomend an ice axe or wait a few weeks. We did not see anyone summit either Challenger or Kit Carson. The weather was perfect and the summer climbing season has commenced!
