• HTTP.CS.Berkeley.EDU/~qtluong/mountain/ Tuan's Mountaineering Page. Beta from Yosemite wells, mountaineering in Chamonix, and elsewhere.
• http://www.climbing.nl/europe/index_eng.html A home page of European climbing home pages. Though some are in English, others present a fine opportunity to dust off your high school French.
• www.lycos.com A popular search engine for ferreting out resources on a given topic.
• www.marmot.com Check out software (the kind you wear), order a catalog, scan trip reports or pull up a weather forecast for your next outing. Also: www.marmot.com/BASECAMP.HTML
• www.oslonett.no/sp/fjell/climbing/index.html A home page devoted to rock climbing in Europe. Specify a country or a destination and watch the download.
• www.rocknroad.com The Web page of the voluminous compendium of North American climbing sites. Looking for that special south-facing, 80-foot granite cliff with 30 sport routes of varying difficulty that's accessible in February? It's unique search function will track it down.
• www.sportiva.com The shoe folks.
• www.ualberta.ca/~gbarron/index.html The Canadian Rockies Climbing Guide, featuring information and trip reports on sport, multipitch, alpine, and ice routes, as well as a directory of useful phone numbers and a number of good links.
• www.yahoo.com A goofy name for a great search engine. Specify a search topic or choose from a number of broad categories and start digging.
• outside.starwave.com Outside Online Magazine. Good coverage for outdoor topics.
