CMC home page. Sherry Richardson, Colorado Mountain Club member, will present her slides and commentary on a Nepal trek and climb of Naya Kanga.
In October 1993 Sherry and her husband, Dave Smith, climbed Naya Kanga, 19,180 ft, a trekker's peak in the Jugal Himal. The climb was the culmination of an eleven day trek north of the Katmandu Valley, an area that sees far fewer trekkers than the more popular Everest and Annapurna areas.
Join us for a slide show of Sherry's third trek and first climb in this "trekker's paradise."
This program will be presented by the High Altitude Mountaineering Section of the Colorado Mountain Club on Monday, May 15, 1995, 7 PM, at The American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th St., Golden, Colorado. (Please see map for directions.) The public is invited, no admission fee.
