The CMC's Denver Group offers the finest educational activities in the state that you as a member can participate in. Our schools include:

2. Friendships.

Are you new to Denver? Do you want to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities with others of like mind and abilities? The CMC offers you the opportunity to meet others like yourself, whether that means you share climbing fourteeners or photographing wild flowers. There are over 10,000 CMC members. The Club is dependable and reliable. Activities are scheduled every weekend and all holidays.

Another great way to meet new friends is to join any one of our special sections and numerous activities that the club offers. Sections include Rock Climbing, Bicycling, Adopt-A-Wilderness, Ice Skating, Fly Fishing, the Trailblazers, High Altitude Mountaineering, Trail Running, Free Heelers, Photography, and the Denver Downhillers.

3. Conservation And The Environment

The Club takes pride in its long-standing commitment to conservation and environmental ethics. Our members were involved in the establishment of Rocky Mountain National Park and Dinosaur National Monument. Today we are involved in issues affecting wilderness preservation, water and timber management, and access to public lands. We support trail building and maintenance. Members are invited to get involved.

4. Publications

As members you will receive:

• Trail & Timberline: the monthly magazine of the CMC.
• Mile High Mountaineer: a monthly newsletter which includes the Social Activities Calendar.
• Schedules: listing all Winter and Summer activities.

You will also have member privileges at the American Mountaineering Center Library, the largest mountaineering library in the western hemisphere.

Joining Is Easy

To Join the Denver Group of the Colorado Mountain Club, request an application form. Please sign the waiver. Send the application form with your check or credit card information to the CMC at the address below. Please see the Groups page for information on joining a CMC group outside of the Denver area.

Join us at one of our monthly "new member" meetings. Attending a meeting will prepare you for the many activities that the CMC offers. Please see our Calendar for the next meeting.
