area’s natural diversity. Although
the reader-friendly guide includes extensive
information on the dunes themselves –
it also gives detailed descriptions and
maps for nearby trails and routes in the
Sangre de Cristo range. There’s how-to
info on more than 30 hikes, stretching
from Blanca Peak south of the dunes to
the rugged Crestones on the north.
