- Mountains: Give us a shot of your favorite peak, anywhere in the world. Bonus:
we are especially interested in Colorados Fourteeners, and entries of 14ers will
also be considered for inclusion in our annual Colorado Fourteeners Calendar.
However, any peak is eligible to win in this category.
- Animals: This category is limited to Rocky Mountain wildlife encountered in Colorado and surrounding states in the Rockies. No domesticated animals or pets please.
- People: Here we are looking for shots of people out enjoying outdoor activities in nature, anywhere in the world. Subjects might include hiking, mountaineering, skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking and rock climbing. No motorized sports, nor hunting or fishing please.
- Wildflowers: Our new category this year, added due to popular demand. This category is limited to Rocky Mountain wildflowers in Colorado and surrounding states in the Rockies. No houseplants or potted flowers please.
